A textbook on how to do things, how to take a trillion dollars and turn it into a collapsing economy. It's not as if they didn't control the legislature and the executive, it's not as if they couldn't pass anything they wanted to, they had their way with the country. They followed the Robin Leach School of Economics. Any idea that the Republicans care about deficits (see well-known Cheney quote) disappeared. The only thing that mattered was shoveling money to the rich and famous, and that's all that matters now. Republicans are reduced to trying to make fun of Democrats. That's all they have. Well, a sordid record, the loss of US moral leadership, economic domination, unquestioned influence. Except for that, nothing. Deal with it.
