A two-cycle plug sitting over the winter has the oil crud it up and usually can profit from some attention in my experience.

Heh, heh. As a superficially presentable male with a sense of humor I do get a lot of attention from a variety of women. The hospice is one place and the neighbors are another.

In my later years I tended to go with women 15 to 20 years younger. And then it got to be more trouble than it was worth. If they were more like my dog it would have been better. The later I got home the friendlier that dog is.

At the hospice some of the staff and volunteers, and a few of the family members seem to be very friendly, daughters usually. I'm not particularly bright about it, though, and by the time I know I've been hustled it's too late. A reality is that I was 41 before I asked a woman out who hadn't asked me first.

I get asked if I'm going to attend a lot of dinners and to participate in various Community Center functions, and not by particularly decrepit folks. I usually have a real or imagined schedule conflict.

A very attractive married nurse has been particularly friendly, reciprocated at first, until I realized what a mess that could be. She scheduled herself away from my shifts.

I do like the attention, though.

It could be worse. She might want to talk politics.

As a single senior gentleman, I imagine you have a lot of interaction with "casserole ladies". Since women generally outlive men, my retirement community is full of them. Mme Reclus has become quite adept at driving them off.
