It’s been long overdue, but that archetype is changing, and the female athlete is now starting to become the ideal body type, not the skinny supermodel, (more like a 12 year old with grotesquely huge breasts).

I like figure skaters and Broadway (not ballet) dancers myself. And beach volleyball players have their attractions as well.

It reminded me of how certain ‘tribes’ adorn parts of their bodies for aesthetic purposes. South American tribes drawing attention to their units with ‘penis sheaths, neck stretching of Africans and Asians, Ubangi lip plates and Japanese foot binding.

Western people would probably find these practices distasteful but we have our own counterparts- like breast implants.

I am at a loss.
