Cutting through the clear bullshit: Mitt said what the auto industry needed was a structured bankruptcy and if the government writes a check it will be the end of the big three. So now he claims because there was a structured bankruptcy he deserves a lot of credit!

What he fails to mention of course is the structured bankruptcy only became possible BECAUSE of the government bailout before hand. Romney now claims it should have been left to private capital, but he well knows there was no private capital available because at the time the entire financial system had collapsed! In fact the financial system which Romney now claims should have bailed out Detroit instead of the government, had in fact received its own government bailout at the same time for over 10X the amount Detroit got.

Romney's preposterous claim of credit for saving the auto industry is a monumental insult to the intelligence of the American people.
