“I don’t recall.”  Don’t remember.  May have left to go to the bathroom, drinking lots of tea.  My recollection of that event is non-existent.  Maybe it didn’t happen.  Had my back turned.  My hearing wasn’t all that good at the time.  Wasn’t me, may have been my cousin.  I was absent that day.  Don’t know the guy.  Never heard of him.  Actually, he was absent that day.  I’ll check and get back to you.  Sure is a puzzlement.  Just simply escapes me.  So people say that, huh?  Wonder why.  We cut a lot of fag’s hair, you don’t expect me to remember them all, do you?  I can stand here and say unequivocally and without reservation if that incident occurred and I strongly suspect it didn’t is not one which is resident in my memory at this time.  I distinctly remember forgetting it.
