These activities have been going on for a long time. The Director calls it an "aberration, which it's not. Next, read the DoD dispatches on about anything. We hear stories, think we know what happened, and later the truth comes out. DoD is a great mill for cranking out novels, historical novels which incorporate the truth at the beginning and then degrade into fiction. Read the story of the FBI lab scandal, read the FBI reports which invariably cover up something or other, read of the GAO spending and lack of recovering money, and on and on and on. I could dredge up more easily, but you get the idea. The agencies we entrust to protect us from corruption are corrupt. That is the problem, as I see it. One cannot trust anything said by any of them. Even the vaunted FBI lab was completely corrupt and persecuted the whistleblowers. Who will guard the guards? No one, and they have turned into what they are supposed to guard against. Not good for the welfare of the people. It’s the cover-up of the culture. I can see where it would be foolish to bring one back to your own hotel room but the concern that they were modern day "Mata Hari's" is a little bit over-blown.
