Which is typical in WSJ reporting. There was legislation pushed through a couple years ago for student loan reform. Prior to that, 100% of the "private bank loans" were federally backed. Thus the banks took on zero risk and were able to tact on a few percentage points of interest and skim billions while providing absolutely nothing in return. It was as clean an example of corporate welfare as you can find.

Other than that the article was pretty good.

Not many men would have stood up like that and I'd like to see you get due credit. There is courage and there is courage. The courage of the split second is one thing, but the courage of one who thinks, ponders and still goes ahead is the embodiment of courage.

My hat is off to you, and you have my endless admiration, albeit from afar. It's a privilege to communicate with such an astute man. One is humbled.

Yeah, that's exactly the conclusion a normal person would draw from that graph and article.

The greed of the ultra-wealthy and their banks, both of which were bailed out, destroyed the economy, trapping those who have invested in it in smaller, more vulnerable ways. Homeowners, the middle class, and students, people who counted upon the economy to provide jobs allowing them to work for benefits and the ability to pay off loans have been trapped.

The only folks who have come out of this well are the super-rich. As planned.

In the meantime, Obama is still continuing the wars.
