		<description>I did not think the support structures and foundations could be replaced.  Since they were concrete, I thought the constant vibrations from small earthquakes would weaken them and over time render them vulnerable to earthquakes.

They&#039;ve thrown a lot of money at that bridge, and have another $250 million to go, but it seems as if they will be able to keep it functioning.
