I have faith in you, TB. You CAN figure it out, I know. It's not difficult. Think for yourself.

Would it be easier if instead of saying "Cut taxes, start wars, borrow money to fight them" I said "Start wars, borrow money to fight them, cut taxes"?

I hope that helps. While I have faith in you, some faith anyway, it's fading. Please help me out.

It's actually kind of fascinating to watch this process.

Here's another fact: Obama is on course to raise the national debt in his first term more than Bush raised it in two full terms. This is not an opinion, it's numbers on record.

That information will also be stripped from your brain, won't it?

You don't make "rational" arguments. You never have. Some here at least try.

GWB and the Conservative legislature cut taxes on the wealthy. Then started a war. Then started another war. The first time in the country's history anyone cut taxes and started wars.

The cut taxes on the wealthy and borrowed money to fight the wars. Can't be disputed by rational people.

Who was supposed to pay for those wars? The two wars started by GWB.

Now, all that tap dancing is interesting I suppose, but I'm coming at it in military fashion, straight ahead, no bobbing, no weaving, simply suggesting your attack on Obama for debt is unfair and ignores the responsibility Conservatives have for this countries situation.

And I know you can't and won't accept responsibility for anything, will instead continue to preach smaller government, fiscal responsibility, lower debt. Because it sounds good, not because you believe in it.

Let's try this again.

This is an anti-war website that tracks the cost of the wars. Both of them. Here's the number from about ten seconds ago:

Total Cost of Iraq and Afghanistan Wars since 2001:

$1,337,667,457,262

Look at that number. Eleven years of war. Fix it in your head. Now look at this one, taken from the White House budget documents:

Estimated Federal deficit for the fiscal year 2012:

$1,326,900,000,000.

Look at the one number.

Then look at the other. Back and forth. Notice any similarity?

Keep looking. Think hard. Ignore the sharp tang of ozone as current passes through dusty cerebral bus bars that haven't seen use in years.

A conclusion can be drawn here about the relation of the overall war costs to our current deficit situation.

Keep looking. Remember, 2012 is just one year. The deficit for 2011 was another $1.3 trillion. 2010, $1.29 trillion. The wars are winding down now and going out. But the estimated CBO accumulated deficits over the next ten years are $6.4 trillion.

I'm available for questions if it still isn't clear.
