I remember watching Armstrong on an uphill section of the Tour de France passing the 1 – 2 riders with his mouth closed. He wasn’t gasping, he wasn’t panting, his mouth was closed and he looked over and smiled at the guy who was in first.
At that instant I knew he must be doping. He wasn’t riding against slouches, he was riding uphill and he was passing.
That, coupled with all the people who report seeing him dope, is fairly damning. Floyd Landis, who admits to doping with Armstrong, said that Lance told him, “Never admit it. Just deny and deny and deny.” Which is what’s happening.
