Personally, I wish the Chinese well because their success will get us off of our ass. I believe that private space exploitation will ultimately be the key to making us a space faring people but government development of technology will assist us in that effort. and provide a boost for our economy. Call me crazy but I can't remember a happier and more prosperous time in this country than when we were in the Space Race with the Russians. our disinterest in spending money on development of space technology.
