Both were caused by the wealthy. Both were caused by unregulated speculation. Both were caused by greed. Both were examples of unregulated capitalism at it’s best.
As the result of ’29, stocks became regulated, somewhat.
Because stocks were regulated, the wealthy turned to unregulated hedge funds. The wealthy successfully fought regulation of hedge funds, with the result that there is still unregulated manipulation and huge losses of investors money.
Neither was caused by a Union.
And some people say capitalism works for everyone. Not just the mega-wealthy. Many of those people live off Union wages and benefits. Go figure.
