Obviously Rush isn’t a comic book fan, or he would know that Bane is an old character. He’s wrong about this being a long-term plot.

But I also showed that the Democrats were all set to toss it into the mix. It didn’t come out of the clear blue sky. As the article said, “the comparisons are too rich to ignore.”

But it is also pretty clear that he is deliberately trying to plant the seed in his listeners that this is a deliberate ploy by the left that’s been years in the making. In his own words…

“The movie has been in the works for a long time. The release date’s been known, summer 2012 for a long time. Do you think that it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire breathing four eyed whatever it is villain in this movie is named Bane?”

He wants his listeners to accept this is a liberal plot, one that “has been in the works for a long time”, that the name Bane was picked ahead of time, presumably by lefty time travelers knowing it would be an issue today, being so uninformed himself about the history of the character and its creators that he does not realize it is obviously not true.

“Do you think that it is accidental that the name…” That’s pretty clear, TB. Smoking gun clear.

Tom, it is no reflection on the Conservative cause that Limbaugh is an asshole, I will freely admit there are Liberal assholes too. And yet you feel the need to split hairs and desperately try to save him from the slightest embarassment. You are actually covering for this malicious turd, trying to deflect attacks on him, when his own words clearly document what he is trying to do.

Are you that desperate to protect your ideology from any possible attack? How can you not expect us to conclude you aren’t just a little unhinged here? Do you actually believe it is mathematically impossible for a conservative to mutter any untruth, or for any liberal to speak straight at all?

Quit making excuses for this crab louse. It would honor your cause, and give you some credibility, if you proudly proclaimed him to be an embarassment to it. You’re starting to sound like Romney and Boehner and other GOP celebrities. They don’t necessarily share Rush’s views either, but they’re terrified of getting on his wrong side and alienating his haploid fans. No one on the Right dares stand up to this creep. They are all afraid of him. Are you?

Before we know it, you’ll be defending Trump. Or Bachmann. Or West. Or Walsh.
