Around the campfire, it’s natural to get “punchy” when it is your turn. I’m the same, truth be told, ’cause I’m skewed toward the introvert side of the spectrum.

Be assured, I do not take you flippantly. Same thing goes for anyone around this campfire. But I can be a sarcastic smart-ass at times. But this forum doesn’t permit you to see the twinkle in my eye.

I have always been both spiritual and scientific – that’s the dichotomy you sense. Exploring and resolving the two is my life’s koan.

And please, Jody, I am not the gate-keeper to the Space Science Board. I’m a moderator. I want anyone to come into the ring around the campfire, as long as they talk science. For the other interesting stuff, there’s another campfire just a click away.

I try so hard to listen to everyone here and what they believe. Sometimes I get punchy when it is *my* turn. I can’t prove a thing. But what I offer comes from a very grounded state of being.

I don’t spout random bullshit. Everything I offer here is the real deal…from my perspective. Years and years of self actualization…self reflection, I don’t follow anything or anybody. All I am I got on my own…in my own way. I am a fierce loner. To open up to you guys is a very big deal.

I am who I say I am, so when I feel it is taken flippantly or without serious thought, I take it personally. I realize I take it too personally, but as I grow older, all that I am is all that I have tirelessly worked for and my spirituality is becoming my personality. My character. My integrity.

I knew you were extremely spiritual Podrock, but I sense a dichotomy that I am trying to decipher. You are a scientist. This is how I have come to know you. You offer deep spirituality occasionally, and I am thrown a curve. We are known by the company we keep…and you are the gate keeper to Space/Science.

Something I’ve noticed about women, they rely on intuition and a “knowingness”. I don’t see anything wrong in assessing the universe this way.

Maybe our cultural problems are due to soul inflation. We’re losing spiritual value.
