Some folks on HZ agreed. 42 Republican Senators, taking a page directly from Hitler's Reichstag, signed a pledge to not cooperate with him on anything except lower taxes on the wealthy. Obama was blamed for the financial crisis imposed upon the world by GWB, and for the drastic expenditures necessary to protect some working folks and nearly all bankers from losing everything. That for the bankers it was billions and the workers hundreds was lost on them. Imagine if he were elected a second time. What would LImbaugh recommend? How would the HZers who say "that isn't what he said but some people agree with him" react? It will be nuts. And if Romney is elected, if enough money is spent, enough lies spread, we can kiss the country goodbye. If he is forced to adopt more reasonable and centrist policies, either from necessity or because of his own temperament and convictions, he will be a bitter disappointment to the fascist wing of his party. If they cannot intimidate him into falling into line and meeting their expectations, they will have a ready-made extremist, one much more to their liking, in Ryan, ready to take over. Will they become despondent and sulk for a few years and decide to become a more reasonable and intelligent party, or will they sink deeper into their bizarre fantasy world about foreign muslim socialist dictators who hate and want to destroy America?
