I’m still in the habit of putting an “underline” mark between words in a file (“Createspace_Royalty_Files) so that the computer can refer to it properly. How long has it been since spaces in a folder or file name screwed up PCs? I’m not consistent about it. I see stuff where some file names have both underlines and ordinary spaces in the same name. Go figure.
Remember when us PC users were muttering in our beards about our damned eight-character file name limit while those new Mac upstarts were naming their files “Best photos from my cruise to the Bahamas?”
(By the way, now and then when I’m working at the command level, I still find a few things that are bothered by spaces.)
- I was thinking of building another computer then I started to wonder if anyone used desktops anymore. n/t

Hah! I'm afraid of using underscores...

My first encounter with a computer was eight years ago this summer. I found out how to turn it on.

If we still used MS Dos...I would not be here on the Zone...or anywhere else for that matter.
