The Shoreline out in this area holds lots of concerts. Open air, with seats forward and lawn seating behind. A big tent covers the stage. I've seen Moody Blues and some others there. Even on the hottest day, the wind comes up in the evening and the temperature get surprisingly cold.

The whole thing was built on our old landfill, along with a golf course and park. For a while composting methane leaks were a problem, and I heard some people could actually light them coming through the grass of the amphitheater. They installed a recovery setup, and now sell the methane.

The Mountain Winery up in the hills is a very small place, but gets some really famous names. Never seen a concert there yet, but my wife is cranky that we missed a Monkees reunion there before Davy died.

They have an annual Summer concert series at the St. Michelle Winery in Woodinville WA. It's only about a half hour drive.

The concerts are held at the winery on a grass field avec amphitheater. They keep the wine shop open during the concert and we enjoyed a 'few' bottles of '09 cab along with picnic food. The weather was gorgeous but got a little chilly after sunset.

The music was ever so slightly before my time but well worth the $65 ticket price. Crobsy even got a little political. It was cool being among hippies.

We've seen the Moody Blues and Natalie Cole and some random jazz shows. We're very lucky to be so close to a wonderful venue.
