If your mythology were so obvious you wouldn’t find it so hard to convince anyone else. And if you weren’t so unsure of it yourself, you wouldn’t be so desperate to get everyone to hear you.

Listen to yourself. Everything that’s wrong with the world is their fault. If they would only leave you alone you could be free. They want to take what you’ve earned and give it away to those who don’t deserve it. Its always about those inferior, weak, corrupt beings who have somehow usurped and perverted and befouled the natural order of things, the order you represent. If they would only go away everything could be wonderful again. Doesn’t any of this sound familiar? Only you seem to recognize the benefits of freedom, liberty and choice. Everyone else actually wants to be a slave. Narcisssism and Paranoia.

Do you really believe its as easy as a choice between paradise and Bolshevism, and that there is no middle ground or even other alternatives? That all history can be explained as a great struggle between the virtuous and the evildoers?

If that’s the case, why can’t you get anyone to listen? Is it because they control the press, the universities, the arts, the intelligentsia, even the sciences, all the institutions of the society except the one you think you could excel at, if it only weren’t for their treachery. Yes THEY, the forces of darkness you have identified as the sources of all evil, won’t let you, they are all out to get you.

Your view of the world is a grotesque caricature of reality brought about by your inability to reconcile yourself to your own problems except by seeing yourself as the victim of a conspiracy. It would be a pathetic and laughable fantasy except there is a good chance that those who cynically exploit this delusion may soon have total political power.

Nobody with a brain thinks the threats to our liberty are coming from the poor. They’re coming from millionaires who live in the richest counties in the nation–the ones adjoining Washington DC.

It’s not “paranoia” to think that the Democratic Party and its political allies want to take our wealth and property and control our lives.

Every major policy and proposal they come up with involves, at some level, wealth and property taken from those who earned it and redistributed as the Party sees fit. Every major concept involves less choice by the individual and more control by the State. Every damn one.

Find an exception. No one’s ever met that challenge yet, and I don’t expect it now.

The Left has worked very hard to obliterate any terminology that can be used to describe an ideology that supports total economic and political control of a society by a powerful centralized authority.

Heck, they don’t even like being called “the Left” any more. They’re “progressives” now. In a few years, it’ll be something else.

You’ve wiped out terms that put your beliefs in an uncomfortable spot, and as a bonus, redefined “fascism” to mean people who think the centralized authority is too powerful and controls too much. Mussolini would laugh until he got the hiccups.
