GOP "stalwarts". Who are they? September 19, 2012 10:36 am bowser

http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/09/19/13963985-romney-faces-pressure-to-shake-things-up-amid-concerns-race-is-slipping-away?lite

“Mitt Romney has stumbled recently in his quest to unseat President Barack Obama, but GOP stalwarts argue that his presidential campaign isn’t a lost cause and say their nominee still has time to turn things around.”

The article mentions one Representative from Oklahoma and a former party chairman for New Hampshire.  Are these the “stalwarts” who can pressure the GOPs Republican nominee?

I doubt it.  Now, the Koch brothers could do it, so could the other large donors and a few of the corporations.  They are the king-makers.  But the article doesn’t mention them by name, simply “GOP stalwarts”.

Clearly they are the powers of the Republicans.  It would be interesting to know who can kick their candidate around.
