It was republicans after all who created and championed the earned income tax credit, and other tax breaks for the poor, that has helped so many millions climb out of poverty. So why the sudden switch on taxes for the poor?

Because the tax cuts for the rich are under threat and their lackeys at Fox news have pushed this 47% bullshit for over a year to deflect the attention of low education white male voters.
