Running for president based on his hypercompetence and then running a highly incompetent campaign under the microscrutiny of the entire nation is humbling. I think Mitt ultimately can handle the mental pressure. But win or lose, it's changed who he is forever. Maybe not philosophically but personally. As for Ann, I sense she doesn't want to win. It really is too hard. She has a very tough physical condition which understandably adds to her difficulty.
