When they built the Marina Pacifica, and before that that other shopping center with the "Food and Drug Store" market - that changed the whole feel of the area. I disliked when the area went from white to high sodium yellow lights. It made everything so dungy and creepy at night. or the Bob’s Big Boy that was on the corner…or watched the boats done up with Christmas lights, every year. Most actors who make a career of it seem to genuinely love the genre, and they tend to cluster around whatever watering hole is making sci-fi. I think there was a small close-knit community of sci-fi actors then in Hollywood, and today up in BC. Shatner, Nimoy, and Takei were making sci-fi in Hollywood before Star Trek.
