No embarrassment, no hesitation. It's win at any price, the truth be damned. Any end justifies any means, lie, cheat, whatever, just so as to win. One doesn't want to believe that of associates, and yet hit us hard enough, long enough, with the same old thing one is left with no choice but to believe that's the kind of people they are and they enjoy it. Their takeaway points: - Romney is the mightiest debater to walk the face of the earth since Lincoln. - Obama is just too busy being the greatest president to walk the face of the earth since Lincoln to properly prepare. - Debates don't really mean anything in an election anyway. Obama has been focusing his public appearances on highly sympathetic and intellectually harmless interviewers and audiences. Even in the debates, the moderators will be leaning in his direction. But a lot of people are going to be seeing the candidates unfiltered by news editors. And they do a lot of filtering. When that whole 47 percent thing blew up, I think what really pissed the Democrats and media off was that prior to this, there were probably not all that many people outside of political wonks who were aware of how many Americans got by without paying income taxes.
