Implications of the Conservative philosophy. October 7, 2012 2:22 pm bowser

None of this is radical.  It is all what Conservatives are doing now or a natural outgrowth of their policies and programs.  This is truly what a vote for Romney means.  Watch what they do, not what they say.  Romney is a liar of the first order, a trait forgiven by those who believe the ends justify the means.

First, the rich getting richer.  The vast majority of wealth will be concentrated in the hands of a few.  Politicians, in order to be elected, will be completely dependent upon the ultra-wealthy.  A few gated communities, the majority of people in slums.

Second, an oppressive police presence to protect the wealthy.  Oppressive laws, the wealthy will fear the masses.

Third, continued aggressive wars to expand the empire.  Invasions of places like Venezuela, where the government is attempting to use national resources for the benefit of citizens.  The excuse will be “civil rights”.  We know how important “civil rights” are as demonstrated by our treatment of Iraqis and Afghanis, who simply want a foreign invader out of their countries.

Fourth, natural resources such as fresh water will come under private ownership.  It will be criminal to collect rainwater for one’s own use.  Already tried in Bolivia, believe it or not.  The rain will fall for the mega-wealthy.  And become more important as global warming continues.

Fifth, Americans will lose more and more civil rights in the name of “security”.  That’s the way it’s always done.  Internal passports will be needed, as the wealthy find it more and more important to protect themselves from the masses.

Sixth, the mercenaries currently used overseas will be used at home.  Again, the military will not be trusted because of the centralized leadership, but the profit motive of a number of Blackwater types will be.

Seventh, the “they made me do it” excuse will be used to justify violence both internally and externally. The behavior of the US as a nation will continue to be at the level of the lowest of the low.  One wonders if that excuse works for the children of Conservatives, if they get away with the “everyone else does it” idea.  They should if their parents are to be consistent.

Eighth, with the disappearance of social programs people will be dying on the streets, the major cities of the US resembling the worst of Asia.

Ninth, Europe, Russia and China will unite to combat the predatory nature of the US, triggering another Cold War when resources would be needed to adjust to global warming.  Money will be spent on tanks rather than MRIs.  Because, of course, the other guy can’t be trusted.

And then it gets worse.  As I said, this can all be demonstrated to be the Conservative agenda.  It’s ugly, that’s true, it’s against everything Americans have always thought they believed in, and it’s what it means to be a Conservative.  It’s not as if I made it up.  I couldn’t have made it up.
