I responded directly to what you said. And you did "say that if Romney is elected those things will happen."

This is truly what a vote for Romney means.

(Sheesh)

My response meant we wouldn't have time for your "vision" to come to pass anyway.

Romney has the balls to kill Big Bird. Almost 1/2 a billion dollars saved. PBS can be supported by those who watch it.

That's the fortitude that conservatives have been waiting for. Congress needs to stop looking at a million dollars as though it was a penny to be stepped over.

And I didn't say that if Romney is elected those things will happen, though they will happen faster. What do you think Romney is all about? Working for a living, being productive? He's the Conservative dream, manipulating the financial system to increase wealth at the cost of the lower economic classes.

As that continues, and the numbers I quoted were for the years 1983 to 2009, the inevitable result is that even more of the wealth will be concentrated in even fewer hands, very much like France, say, before their revolution. Or Paraguay or any other banana republic. It's happening, just not fast enough to satisfy the True Believers.

This is not rocket science, this is obvious, measurable and reported. It is the Conservative agenda. "Smaller government" means fewer things like workers compensation, environmental protection, safety requirements. And "lower debt" means nothing. When did a Conservative lower the debt?

The post below says that of the wealth created during the period of 1983 to 2009, 80% went to the wealthiest 5%. TB said that a "selective timeframe" was used, implying the data was cooked. "Selective timeframe"?

Of course as we increase the difference between haves and have-nots, decrease social services, the starving folks will be a threat.

Here's a novel idea.

Either have a middle class and enable people to work for their health insurance, children's education, house payment, and vacations, or

Do away with the middle class and the opportunity to work for those things, and supply them with medical care, education, and housing.

Conservatives seem to want to do away with the middle class, except for the technicians they will need, and also do away with health care, education, etc.

It's not rocket science. Concentrate the wealth in the hands of a few, deprive more and more people of basic needs, and you're going to have gated communities, etc.

As far as TB is concerned, he insists on any number of odd things. The Vietnam war was a Russian creation, Bush didn't lie, the US didn't torture, and when it did the media over-reported it, man-caused global warming doesn't exist, the US didn't lose in Iraq, Saddam's one life was worth almost 5,000 American lives, Saudi's weren't responsible for 9-11 and he tries to deny that which is obvious - the rich are getting richer, owning more and more of the assets as compared to the poorer. Oh, yes. And 1983 to 2009 is a "selective timeframe".
