Seriously, what is wrong with the idea that a nation's resources belong to the people of that nation, not the executives and foreign shareholders of mega-corporations? Who then transfer the wealth away from the people and country.

Instead of worrying about how poor the Venezuelans are, why don't we concentrate on how to provide health insurance to poor Americans? Why don't we take care of ourselves?

Some people admire Jerry Springer too much, trying to drag out some poor soul and scream "Shame" when the crowd has it's own issues. And that's what it's like here.

Some people would be living under a bridge if it weren't for the labor of others, some people curse Unions and enjoy their benefits (without working for them), some people live off the government while bitching about taxes.

Jesus was right. The speck in the brother's eye, instead of the log in our own. Chavez is doing more for his people than Exxon ever would.

One has to be able to see ahead. When someone offers you a gallon of gasoline for free and then hands you free matches...

The mouse doesn't recognize the cheese on the trap is his demise. Likewise the poor masses are often ignorant of the trap they are getting into with socialism or communism which looks so appealing from their perspective.

Down here I see the poor all the time. I see how they create self-perpetuating poverty based on bad life choices and how their children repeat the same mistakes creating an endless cycle of poverty, desperation, fear and feelings of inferiority, frustration and resentment.

For some the lure of the cheese is too great.

*snap*

For others the free gas and matches seems just too good to pass up.

*strike*

*boom*
