I am totally awesome.

I know others that are even more awesome than I am, but that's simply because I am so awesome. ;D

"The "modesty" displayed by narcissists is false. It is mostly and merely verbal. It is couched in flourishing phrases, emphasised to absurdity, repeated unnecessarily – usually to the point of causing gross inconvenience to the listener. The real aim of such behaviour and its subtext are exactly the opposite of common modesty.

"It is intended to either aggrandise the narcissist or to protect his grandiosity from scrutiny and possible erosion. Such modest outbursts precede inflated, grandiosity-laden statements made by the narcissist and pertaining to fields of human knowledge and activity in which he is sorely lacking.

"Devoid of systematic and methodical education, the narcissist tries to make do with pompous, or aggressive mannerisms, bombastic announcements, and the unnecessary and wrong usage of professional jargon. He attempts to dazzle his surroundings with apparent "brilliance" and to put possible critics on the defence."

The debate I watched had Barack Obama looking uncomfortable and defensive all night long.
The debate I watched had Barack Obama refer to his Presidency in the past tense.
The debate I watched had Barack Obama dodging pointed questions.
The debate I watched had Barack Obama almost looking like he was going to flip out because he was cornered by his own record and caught in his own lies.

Romney was strong asd assertive the entire night. Obama was playing defense, even when he was playing offense. His face look tortured at times, his contempt he couldn't conceal. As a President you have to be able to rise above. Romney did what he wanted - reveal the real Obama and crucify him on his failed Presidency.

He did that, masterfully.

It didn't take a genius to see that Obama was struggling and on the defensive the entire night.

Just because Obama said the things you wanted to hear doesn't mean he won. In this debate I'll have to say the same for Romney. It's not hard to see why people are at odds about this.

I felt Romney was too aggressive and too eager to beat Obama down on every issue he could think of. Or was trained to bring up.

Tech said Obama got clobbered. That to me completely disqualifies him from having any reasonable objectivity. For my part I think Obama worked him over like a punching bag, and Romney punched himself a few times. But I am waiting to see what happens in the polls by the weekend.

I think O did enough to stop Romney's momentum, but not enough to reverse his gains. Monday is the rubber match.

You are a conservative homer and there is nothing wrong with that. I commend you for not becoming a cynic like me.

Anything you have said pales in comparison to the arrogance of the liberal posters here prior to the first debate, (which was a mauling, or a clobbering if you prefer). One said he would never return to this board if Romney wins. What a piss ant attitude that is.

However one sees the second engagement, Romney scored some important points and was more presidential than Obama. His display of presidential gravitas is something that was missing 4 years ago.

It is definitely a horse race and I think Romney has a decent shot at winning. If he wins it will be because Obama has been a mediocre potus at best. Anyone that doesn't realize this is far more deluded than someone watching a debate thru GOP colored glasses.
