The maroons have made up their minds and there’s no sense in bringing it up. Nothing, no fact, no circumstance, no event, no evidence will change the minds of those people so it’s folly mention them.

When a human mind is impervious to logic and facts, as are the folks who deny the Moon landings, deny anthropormorphic global warming and evolution, or any combination of those, it’s best off leaving them off the table.

And good luck getting Petraeus out there, too. All general officers with the exception of Shinseki have been political whores for a long, long time. He would be reluctant to speak out without knowing who would be the next President.
