Fringe, Revolution, and Last Resort October 27, 2012 10:37 am FrankC

The series continues to entertain mightily in spite of some gimmicky plot devices.

The scavenger hunt for clues to defeating the Observers reminds me of a computer game but it handled well enough to keep it from being annoying.

One of the best qualities of the show is how it makes you care about the characters.

All in all it keeps you guessing and I have no idea what is coming next. Amazing how J. J. Abrams is associated with classics like this and still lends his name at least to bombs like “Alcatraz” and the rather goofy “Revolution”.

Rating are good for Revolution but I am finding it somewhat annoying, in spite of my interest in apocalypse plots. The female lead, Charlie, is a total pain in the ass and the series is full of plot holes.

“Last Resort” is a very good near future, political series with shaky ratings. It will be a shame if it doesn’t catch on
