For the record, I don’t approve of absolute Republican power either, or districts where only Republicans would be on the ballot.

My entire political philosophy is founded on limited government and decentralized power. Doesn’t matter which party has the power.

For most of the state and local races on my ballot, the Republican exists, but sometimes doesn’t even bother to put a statement in the ballot information pamphlet.

Btw, we’ve all had a chance to see what red state super majority legislatures like to do, like forcing trans-vaginal ultrasounds on women.

I didn’t have any other choice. Leave that part of the ballot blank, maybe.

It was decided a couple of years ago that a minority party in a particular district need not apply. This was voted in by our population, with little opposition.

No place to go, really. My wife has a really good job here, and thank God not one easily vulnerable to layoffs. My house is well above water, but not paid for.

Now I think it’s time for me to buckle back down to my writing and proposals. With luck, I’ll either make a sale or get another contract. Next year is going to be a bitch and a half in this state. And it’s something like 13 percent of the GDP of the country.
