Romney would have won if only his good guys hadn’t been outshouted by a mob of welfare mothers, welfare fathers and welfare children looking for handouts. Romney would have won if 47% of the population really cared about the defense of the country, the soundness of the dollar, religious freedom for Christians and the welfare of the wealthy.

This isn’t an opportunity to work with a President who is inclined to compromise, wants to arrive at solutions which are palatable for as many as possible. It’s an opportunity to try to block anything which may be interpreted as desired by the man elected by the majority of the country. It’s an opportunity to feel sorry for themselves because they can’t have everything.

That’s why he doesn’t despair as much as whines and snivels.

The love it or leave it remark is a rhetorical suggestion, not a realistic one.

However, let me rephrase my response. I was born and raised in this country, so were my parents. I lived and worked here most of my life, went to its schools and served in its military, obeyed its laws, paid its taxes and contributed to its wealth. I love this country and believe in what it stands for.

I don’t need some right wing turd telling me how to be an American.

There were a lot of places for 1960s Marxists to go that were run the way they thought the U.S. ought to be.

Then again, maybe you, like Mr Cooke, just another right wing zealot whining because your side lost.

It’s perfectly appropriate to ask someone when they’ve stopped beating their wife if the wife is in the emergency room covered with bruises from the guy’s baseball bat.

Every word of Cooke’s statement is true.

The Democrats won this election with their usual shitstorm, a consistent barrage of personal attacks, rumors, distortions, outright lies, and the rest. Look at the ads. Look at the “controversies.” Look at Obama’s speeches.

It’s not like this is new. Obama has won all his major elections by the politics of personal destruction. Look at the Illinois record. Look at 2008.
