I don’t feel that way about Washington, dude. I’d miss you guys. Hell, I just had a family reunion this weekend with the half of my family that lives around Seattle. So I don’t think I’ll pile on to Washington’s petition. But WTH, there’s only one vote behind it.

For the record, the entire military budget for 2013 is requested at something over $600 billion. The military employs something like 3 million people, many of them union members.

You want more numbers fun, look up what just the real estate in Texas is worth.

Now you have to ask what would they buy it with. USD, $$$, that’s what. Who would sign the checks, I don’t know. What bank they’d go through, I don’t know. That all seems a bit premature.

I say let ‘em secede, give up their citizenship, let ‘em move. Buy their “stuff”.

Cut the military budget in half and then in two years cut it in half again. That will pay for a lot of it. And still leave more of a military than all the ROW and two oceans between anyone who would invade. A no lose proposition.

This conversation would be more fun if you were actually thinking about it.
