Astronauts Could Survive Mars Radiation, Curiosity Rover Finds November 17, 2012 4:42 am Ainz

Here

From the article:
“Radiation levels at the Martian surface appear to be roughly similar to those experienced by astronauts in low-Earth orbit, NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity has found.”

This is very encouraging, compared to what we’ve been hearing about the expected lethal Martian surface radiation environment.

Maybe all those paleo-magneto zones will provide an even friendlier habitat.

  • I think that's not counting UV, but that is pretty easy to shield. by alcaray 2012-11-18 16:27:47
