They're releasing two of the ten-minute segments each Friday, and they're currently up to #8. I think there's just one more. The general pattern seems to be that the first segment features some kick-ass action, and the second one is quieter and dribbles out a bit of story. I think overall there's going to be enough story had this been the first episode of a series, but I can't imagine what I've seen so far carrying a complete "made-for-TV" movie. Just not enough story there; the assembled episode/movie is going to feel more like it's one of those things based on a video game.

YouTube seems able to consistently deliver 1080, so if you have the display for it, I'd go for it to do justice to the eye candy.

Episodes 5-6:

Next episode I'll be watching in realtime with you guys.

The first link in my post was busted, and fixed now. It pointed to the Robot editorial about BSG:B&C and was yet more criticism of Syffy. Well-deserved, you know I can't get enough of putting 'em down.

Syffy's inexplicable focus on wrestling and ghost hunting has got to have left a vacuum, and I'll bet the Science Channel sees it. How can you abandon sci-fi when the genre is hot? Seems like everybody except Syffy is investing in new sci-fi series or pumping out the proven hits. Picking Fringe and Firefly suggests somebody at the Science Channel has a little understanding of the genre.

I watched all four available BSG:B&C webisodes. Actually, twice, I have to confess, because first time through my broadband was in the dirt and I got poor picture quality. I discovered near the end that 1080 actually works from YouTube, watched it again, and wow! Wait till you see the action in 3 and 4, Frank.

Oh, wait, I just reread your post with my brain engaged. You didn't find the webisodes at all? And then I reread my post, and see I didn't even mention that they're on YouTube. Damn. Sorry. Well, here you go:

Hmmm, the little inline player doesn't give access to HD. I recommend going to YouTube and watching it in high def. Pretty eye candy for sure.

I seem to recall that you are watching season 1 on Amazon.

It may or may not be of interest to you or anyone that the Science Channel is apparently getting into the sci fi business and is going to rerun the Fringe series and the Firefly series as well.

They are having a Fringe season 1 marathon this weekend and Michio Kaku will do sidebars on the real science featured in Fringe. As I recall you are off the grid as far a cable or satellite service is concerned so I guess you won't be tuning in.

For anyone else it's an opportunity to check out this excellent series with some value added by Michio.

I watched the Blood and Chrome trailer and damn, it does look good. I have never been much for webisodes and I didn't see how to get them but if I look hard enough I am sure it will not be that difficult to find them. Wish they would do a series.
