The point was to show that there are parasites among conservatives, too, which doesn’t seem to bother them.

It bothers me that illegal immigrants get social services. I think they should get a prison camp and then deported, and if they come back they should get a prison camp for a number of years. And work while they are in it, with work credits used to pay for guards, food, medical care and so on.

However, I believe that a number of conservatives are parasitically living off of the government or other people. Farm subsidies, factory subsidies, BLM ranges and water, cost-plus contracts for munitions, none of those seem to bother conservatives, and yet they are exactly parallel to food stamps and free lunches, only cost more.

My point is that it doesn’t seem to bother conservatives for those big gifts. What bothers them is the little guy getting something for nothing. And that some of our folks are living off of what they disdain, Union benefits and other people. Without working themselves.

You’re damn right people abusing the system pisses us off. Like Illegals coming across the boarder and getting benefits intended for the poor of this country, paid for by US tax payers.

Working, and getting something for it, have absolutely nothing to do with each other. If it did, the richest people in America would be migrant farm workers.

Lookit me. I ain’t legitimately retired. I’m retired because I was born in 1947, not 1954, because I spent the war on an air conditioned ship, eating three square feeds a day, taking a shower every morning, and sleeping on a clean fartsack every night. And I quickly learned how to milk that for all it was worth.

I’m in fat city because I went to a state supported university, worked on Federally funded defense projects on interesting, exciting jobs I was qualified for, and spent 20 years in County Government and got a State Pension for it.

I’m a liberal because I know exactly how lucky I was. But if I thought I really deserved all that just because I worked hard and was smart, but still didn’t get everything that was coming to me because some lazy poor dude got my share instead, then I’d be a conservative.

That’s why liberals always feel guilty about what they have achieved, and conservatives are always bitter and envious about what they haven’t.
