Anyone tried the Chromebook? November 30, 2012 1:40 am bowser

I have a friend that swears by the things, has 6 because he simply can’t resist buying them, sort of how some people become cat ladies or dog people.  Every stray finds a home with them.

He’s offered one to me on an indefinite loan.  I have to admit some of the features are attractive.  With the OS, programs and date in the cloud, one can use any computer as their own, get almost instantaneous startup, and a rapid response.  It’s Linux based, with a lot of free aps, will stream, seems to function as any other PC once the system has been learned.

Thought I’d ask if anyone else has used the things.
