To say that space-time (or the universe) created something is kinda weird. It is what it is. It includes you and me and gravity. Though gravity is rather higher in terms of importance than you or me - it is an intrinsic feature.

According to cosmologists (the prevalent theory), there was a creation event for our universe. It started with insane amounts of energy compressed into an insanely small space. As it expanded and cooled, the various forces we know were created, the physical laws we know came about, time started. Gravity was one of those products.

You write: “Everything that anyone has any experience with (including gravity) “‘originates’ in the space-time”.
And you write : “Gravity does not "originate in a curved space-time". by alcaray2012-12-02 16:25:58”

Define “origin” from your perspective.

Even the ones that use mathematics as “proof” of their ideas must still rely on observations as the source for their math.

Because I conceptualize well...I *get* quantum theory....ask me to actually explain it, and it isn't gonna happen...because I can't. This is why I keep my mouth shut. I can't prove a damn thing and the burden of proof would be on me.

I am quite happy being this way.

Heh...As in quantum theory...I am the observer.

"Now I’m wondering what is the difference between my view that the gravity “originates” in the space-time and your view?"

Everything that anyone has any experience with (including gravity) "'originates' in the space-time". Where on earth do you think you "originate"?

You say that: “Gravity is a curvature of space-time.”
Now I’m wondering what is the difference between my view that the gravity “originates” in the space-time and your view?

More than twenty years ago I watched a series of programs on satellite TV, the title was “Mechanical Universe” it included information on quantum physics in very simple language.
I highly recommend it for anyone that is interested in physics.
It is also on the web:

A good place to get up to speed on quantum physics is the following website.

Gravity is a curvature of space-time. Closely associated with, and easily predicted by, and entirely calculable using the amount of mass that is nearby. That is what Einstein said (in grossly layman's terms). You are trying to set up an origins debate where there is no origins debate.

If you want to find the true origin of gravity then you are headed in entirely the wrong direction if you ask Einstein (or even Newton for that matter). You need instead to look to quantum mechanics. Please don't ask me to explain it to you because 1) the jury is still out, 2) the math is really hard, and 3) I don't understand it myself.
