Whether it is a “cottage industry” or not, the instruments in various places in the world show a increase in radioactivity within the falling rain.
I have no reason to doubt that the instrument are detecting radiation levels that are higher than the usual background levels.
Do you have any reason to suspect that the instruments are not detecting radiation?
Who do you trust and why?

And yes, if radiation levels were increasing dangerously, it would be big news. First in the scientific community, within days in the world at large. It is not happening.

Scientific information yes, but big news; I doubt it.
Was it big news when the US and Russia exploded nuclear devices very high in the upper atmosphere and the radioactive fallout spread all over the planet?
I suspect that the radioactive elements are still floating around there, causing the upper air actually to glow.

The problem might be from something that they eat.

I have not found information on the background radiation in France, but there is information about the Chernobyl accident and its effect in various countries.

What is the background radiation and what was the background radiation? What has happened to the UV radiation? What food additives are on the increase in France?

I would suspect there may be more deformed sperm rather than fewer sperm as the result of radiation, but I don’t know. And I’d suspect something in the diet more than in the air.

But that’s just me.
