Out here the real freon used pre 1992 makes air conditioning outlet temperature much colder. When it's 115 outside those extra degrees are the total difference between a 70 degree ride or an 85 degree ride.

In some ways, American civilization peaked around 1989. The internet, the mass porn and the "dumbing down" of every generation since then has taken its toll. Now kids can't read clocks, can't write with cursive and speak in bite sized sentences. Just go on to Facebook and look at the comments section of any company page. The ratio is now about 15:1 "tweet" sized comments to ones with any meat.

Society has been retarded and the internet has not really helped literacy, rather it has generated a new breed of minimalist communication that requires less thought. The lowest common denominator always prevails. In this case the worst music, the worst porn and the dumbest ideas are propagated. More people are self-harming - an idea that the internet has widely popularized.

The internet has turned out to be the destroyer of western civilization. Instead of liberating time, it consumes it. Instead of educating it serves as to prevent education.

Part of me hopes it's usage gets taxed and becomes a toy only affordable for the high producers. This isn't isn't very egalitarian of me, but it would be a simple and practical solution to the decay and rot the internet has created over the past twenty years.
