"The Left’s Flip-Flop on the Bush Tax Cuts" December 10, 2012 10:08 am TB

Article here.

On the front page of the White House website is a major PR push they’re making: “#My2K.” It links here.

The entire campaign is in support of the Bush tax rates, and fighting against the restoration of Clinton’s rates for the middle class. Think about that a minute. The “$2,000 a year” that the middle class has been getting every year for the past decade or more, thanks to Bush and the Republicans. The middle-class tax rates that reduce revenues something like eight times what the Bush tax cuts for those over $250,000 do.

Here’s a slogan the Democrats can run with:

“Barack Obama: fighting like hell to protect America’s middle class from Bill Clinton’s tax rates!”

  • Umm... by RobVG 2012-12-10 18:13:37
    • The "eight times" is talking about the amount generated by the rate cuts (or increases), not the overall taxes paid. by TB 2012-12-10 21:31:44
