It’s definitely CURRENT EVENTS.
The heartbreak in Connecticut, in Colorado (twice), in San Diego decades ago, in Virginia, etc.
But the heartbreak extends to innocent men, women and children who die daily by bullets, and grieving kin and friends they leave behind, in PHILADELPHIA, Chicago, Oakland, LA, Newark, Miami, etc. The reason you don’t care about those deaths is probably due to the color of their skins. OUCH! Hurts, doesn`t it .
OK, so I`m a little bitter, angry, hurt and grieving. I PERSONALLY KNOW WHAT TRAUMA AND HURT GUNS CAUSE. I wonder if you do.
Am I ANTIGUN, Tom Brosz, as you probably assume (wrongly). NO! I believe that any responsible, law-abiding man or woman has a right to purchase a CIVILIAN firearm, or arms, for protection, for hunting, for shooting range leisure. That probably offends Bowser.
But doesn`t the PUBLIC have a RIGHT TO KNOW WHY someone has purchased 200, 300, 400, 500 rounds of ammunition or more in one visit to a store that sells bullets; or WHY he or she purchased 1,000 in a month. There`s no federal legislation to COMPEL a store owner or clerk to inform the local sheriff, deputy, police officer, fed agent or state trooper that someone has purchased that many bullets in one visit; or a couple. So the law enforcement people cannot visit the ammunition customer to ASK WHY so many bullets purchased in so short a time; so the law enforcement people end up being ignorant of a potential threat, or a sinister motive.
I`m PLEADING with you all to write, telephone, email your Congress Representative or Senator to introduce such legislation. In the name of decency please do it. If you DON`T WANT TO DO IT, you have my undying contempt. And I`m not interested in DEBATE or EXCUSES; I won`t respond to either since you will be wasting my time and yours.
