This is a good time to check out Jupiter and its moons though with Jupiter at its closest to Earth a couple weeks ago and won't be this close again until 2021. I never have any luck spotting Mercury at its western elongation period. Need to find a more suitable eastern viewing location with an unobstructed view of a low horizon. Clouds and rain predicted for tonight here. Well technically in one day.
