A Christmas Day Conjunction December 24, 2012 2:22 pm SteveS

Christmas Day after you have stuffed yourself and the sun has set look east and Jupiter will be next to the moon a degree or 2 apart in Taurus . The width of your thumb held at arms length is about 2 degrees so you can get an idea of how close they will be. Above and close to the pairing will be Pleiades making for a Christmas night delight.

I’m hoping the perdicted rainy weather is late on arrival so I can get a view.

  • Thanks for this. It was very pretty. by MaryAnne 2012-12-26 18:57:30
