and their appeal is also a mystery to me.

PH and some of the Kardashians, (I have no idea how many there are), are attractive women but there are thousands if not millions of equally attractive women out there, who are more intelligent and more personable. Both families are worth billions and have gone out of their way to draw attention to themselves. I think the OJ connection created the initial interest in the Kardashian family

I believe that Americans long for a Royal Family (don’t ax me why) and they latch on to certain ultra rich families to fill that void.

As for Madonna and Lady Gaga. There is some style and talent involved with each of them. If you don’t care for their work, they are a waste of space along with 90% of the pop musical talent in the world that you and I have no affinity for.

Like them or not, they made it on their drive to succeed and what passed for talent with millions of people.
