Tempest in a teapot…funny, my fingers first wrote “teapost”, which also works for me…but I think that an answer emerges from everybody’s suggestions: No we won’t remove content, remove your own content if you want to make it disappear, and come here to post some sort of note or defense or disclaimer or whatever to balance out the nonexistent damage to your client’s reputation.

Silly ass issue, but mildly amusing.

Called it a “request” rather than a “demand”. In fact, the spare affectless tone is part of why I suspect “Camille” is a ‘bot. That, and the last name “no-rest”. Bots never rest, eh?

I like that phrase “unring a very large bell”. I’ll remember it (and inevitably plagiarize it)…

That poor lady asked a favor of the HZ, that information no longer of use to her be deleted and all evidence of it be erased, presumably from the entire web. Simply asked a favor. As would any good neighbor.

The poor bitch is trying to un-ring a very large bell, and you prejudice us by calling it “censor”, even though “censor” is the correct term. It’s hard to reply that yes, I’d like to see the ol’ HZ censored at the request of some irrational person who got themselves into a bind because of their own behavior.

I would prefer the headline read “Inane PR person requests as a favor the HZ delete information unfavorable to her new cause.”

Then I could respond that it seems reasonable to be a good neighbor or “screw her”.

I say “screw her”.

I am not familiar with “Conflict International”, but I worked for a major U.S. investigative company which,on the surface, appears similar. My company did not do the Family stuff. We were primarily involved in finding concealed assets, due diligence and forensic accounting.

My company was, as I assume most companies of this type are, desirous to stay within the law, however, the individual operatives that are employed are highly trained in the art of pretense and they walk a very thin line. They are capable of a wide array of “dirty tricks”. I have seen individual operatives do some nasty things to people that piss them off. Anyone who lies for a living is a little different.

I don’t mean to over-dramatize this and I am only suggesting that the simple NO would be the prudent way to respond. If the NO becomes the end of it, good. If there is further communication, you will be better equipped to judge how you want to respond.

MintTwist could be a subsidiary of Conflict, or not.

In our new world we should consider reacting to internet confrontations in the same way that we react to physical confrontations. The fight or flight options apply. If it is your nature to start throwing punches you will probably give some careful thought to what you are up against and maybe you just walk out of the Bar.

If they want to blow up their own link, and render our link a “404,” what does that have to do with us?

I can’t help but notice that the actual link has “share” buttons on it. Is this person going to run down everyone that put that on Facebook?
