Welcome aboard the HZ-Wordpress, our little forum interface, our cyber-spaceship clubhouse. The Habitable Zone was officially launched 12 years ago as a rescue ship for the stranded survivors of the old MSNBC boards. Over the years it has gone through some big changes. Regulars here are the survivors of not only interface changes, but some truely epic flame wars as well.

Back in the day, there was a motto here that you “can call the cat a bastard.” That still applies, but be warned, the cat will hiss back.

We’ve old traditions on the use of each board, which I’m sure you’ll get the hang of in no time. As long as you keep annomalism off the Space Science Board and do yer bitching on the Flame Board, all will be well.

If you’ve any question about how the interface works, just ask. There’s a cheet sheet on using media here on the HZ, there’s a button over on the right hand side that links you to that info.
