I do like Michael, (not so much his mother), but I mostly identify with Lord Grantham's family. I sympathize with some of the servants and I have empathy with their class but I find many of them annoying. I don't know why. My family is middle class for as far back as I know. I am a loner by nature...but I nurture myself with being in as much solitude as possible. I retreat from people. I don't need the socializing as society would dictate. I learned at a very young age to depend on me only for emotional support with an occasional shout out to you guys to bounce things off of. Being an empath isn't all that. Jeebus...the older I get the more I feel for everything...I have to block so much out just to maintain sanity. Hypothetically, In Downton Abbey I would have been most comfortable as the young cousin who stands to inherit the Downton...his name eludes me. (His mother is a nurse.)
