Why should I bother doing research? You ignore everything that doesn’t support your agenda, while meticulously documenting everything that does.

Odds are quite good somebody simply made them up. Not too surprising, I see it a lot. I’ve also seen those same baseless statistics on hundreds of other websites.

This isn’t a game. How I live my daily life is being decided by liars and idiots, and not just on this front.

As for debris gathering, I believe we were discussing plastic bags, not discarded nets and fishing boats.

TB, we could play this game all day. The difference is that most reasonable folks are concerned about the health of the planet. You only seem concerned that some industry might be inconvenienced if its destructive and irresponsible practices are curtailed, or even criticized.

And you consistently disguise your agenda by always couching the argument in ideological terms, with blarney about free enterprise, the founding fathers, liberty, tyranny, and other shameless rhetorical distractions.

This issue, like every other, has two sides, or to use your metaphor, it’s a double-edged, two-bladed axe.

That’s why its so easy, and so much fun, exposing your rants for the blatant partisan propaganda they are.

Besides. Global warming IS happening. And plastic bags ARE environmentally unsound. Neither is a matter of dispute. Only the severity of the problem is debatable.

After the response you’ve gotten here, I don’t think you’ll be bringing up plastic bags much any more. Come to think of it, lately you’ve been awfully quiet about global warming, too.
