That "intelligence" was evolved so as to allow social cooperation. That is why dolphins are intelligent, as well as other animal species.

Language would have been a or the way such cooperation was effected. It doesn't surprise me that incorporated in the very roots of intelligence would be sounds which kept their meanings, sounds maybe rooted in DNA and not learned.

Nothing in that area surprises me any more.

My German bachelor uncles used to refer to me in words I couldn't understand but I instinctively knew the meaning. Maybe it's a similar phenomenum.

I was wondering about that myself.

The link that supposedly pronounces all these things doesn't work on my browser.

You, hear me! Give this fire to that old man. Pull the black worm off the bark and give it to the mother. And no spitting in the ashes!

Tu,escuchame. Darle este fuego a ese viejo. Arranca el gusano negro de la corteza y darle a la madre. Y no escupes en las cenizas!

I don't know about this theory. English is a Germanic tongue, and Spanish is derived from Latin. Both trace back to the Indo European root tongue, probably similar to Sanskrit. But can you trace any similarity?
