		<description>One vote would not sway an election.  And if you were buying votes, you&#039;d have no guarantee the people you paid off would vote for you in the booth.

Fraudulent voting makes sense if you can tamper with the tally sheets, or throw away boxes of ballots in your opponent&#039;s district, or fiddle with the voting machines.  But just going to the trouble (and risk)of lying about who you are for one vote is incomprehensible.
And doing it on a mass scale would be impossible to pull off.

There are lots of ways to cheat in an election, our last Presidential campaign showed that very well, but none of them can be prevented by stricter voter ID laws. The only way it can be done effectively is with voter suppression methods that target populations, not by individual fraud.

But I guess we both already know that, don&#039;t we?

The question is, since the gag backfired the last time, do you think they&#039;ll try it again?</description>
